Elizabeth (Jude) Jones

1937—2023

Elizabeth Jones, age 85, of Warfield, passed away July 10, 2023, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Born Dec. 11, 1937, in Lovely, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Kate Maynard Jude. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Jones; three sons, Ralph E. Jones, Lonnie Paul Jones and Ronnie Booth; five brothers, John Jude, Elijah Jude, Edgar Jude, Thomas Jude and Harlon Jude; and four sisters, Easter Jude Coleman, Elma Jones, Dolly Mills and Victoria Sparks.

She is survived by one son, Johnny (Carmetta) Booth of Georgetown; two daughters, Jennifer (Johnny) Maynard of Warfield and Donna Maynard of Inez; two daughters-in-law, Tammy Jones of Inez and Dottie Booth of Lowmansville; three brothers, Charlie Jude of Inez, Edward Jude of Warfield and James Jude of Inez; and two sisters, Margie Mills of Wolf Creek and Virgie Mills of Inez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 13, 2023, in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home. Burial was at the Jude Cemetery on Wolf Creek, under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
