Stella Louise Perry

1947—2023

Stella Louise Perry, 76, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, July 6, 2023, at her residence in Beauty.

She was born April 29, 1947, to the late Jesse “Jake” and Anna Fitch Perry. She was the first of seven children and was the spitfire of the family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Jesse Perry, Ben Perry and Lorene Johnson, brothers-in-law Elbert Osborne and Jerry Ward and sister-in-law Yvonne Perry.

Stella is survived by three sisters, Nancy Perry and Debbie Osborne of Beauty and Carol Ward of Georgetown. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

Stella’s days were happily filled with caring for her three spoiled fur babies, Paisley, Nevaeh and Insanity. She had a long career as a nurse before a stroke ended it way too early. Stella was a great mentor to many new nurses and was one of the finest pediatric nurses to care for the children of Eastern Kentucky. She loved children, and the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Youth Group was one of her greatest pleasures later in life.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the Big Elk Freewill Baptist Church in Beauty, with Brother John Taylor and Brother Warnie Pinson officiating. Burial was at the Perry Family Cemetery in Beauty, under the direction of Callaham Funeral Home of Inez.
