Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Selwyn Glenn Brewer

Selwyn Glenn Brewer, 55, of Beauty, was arrested Monday for driving on a DUI-suspended license, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possession, and resisting arrest. Sheriff Kirk reported Brewer had a small plastic bag in his right shorts pocket that contained a crystal substance, which Brewer allegedly said was methamphetamine, and a pipe. According to the report, Brewer tried to pull away from the sheriff, saying, “You’re not putting no (explicit) cuffs on me,” and had to be forced to comply.

James Ward

James Ward, 46, of Beauty, was arrested Monday on Beauty Road in Lovely for possession of a controlled substance. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd encountered Ward while assisting Sheriff Kirk on a traffic stop. Ward was investigated for possible narcotics trafficking and submitted to a patdown for officer safety. The deputy found a package of suboxone with half a strip inside Ward’s wallet. Ward allegedly stated he got it from his sister. He also allegedly had a round cylinder in his pocket containing one white pill and two yellow pills that he identified as Gabapentin.

Daniel Ratliff

Daniel Ratliff, 37, of Paintsville, was arrested Monday at Stepp Bottom on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Kristi Fletcher

Kristi Fletcher, 33, of Inez, was arrested Monday at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, Paintsville, on an indictment warrant. Kidd served the warrant.

Robert Moore

Robert Moore, 36, of Debord, was arrested Monday at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, Paintsville, on an indictment warrant. Kidd served the warrant.

Geraldine Litton

Geraldine Litton, 60, of Inez, was arrested Sunday at the Maritn County Government Center for alcohol intoxication in a public place. Sheriff Kirk responded to a call to dispatch about a woman at a residence refusing to leave after being asked to leave. A deputy located Litton on Route 292 and reported she was extremely intoxicated, had a strong odor of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. According to the police report, Litton admitted she “had drunk quite a bit.”

Ersel Crum

Ersel Crum, 54, of Inez, was arrested Saturday on Dalton Crum Road in Inez on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Anna Williamson

Anna Williamson, 42, of Inez, was arrested Saturday on Okie Drive in Inez on a bench warrant for court. Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.

Brian Howell

Brian Howell, 23, 43, of Inez, was arrested Saturday on Okie Drive in Inez for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. While serving a warrant on a female in a vehicle on Okie Drive, Deputy Kidd observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. He also found a clear container with a blue piece of paper with a clear crystal substance inside and a glass pipe. Howell allegedly stated, “That’s my dope.”

Eliza Bertha Marcum

Eliza Bertha Marcum, 45, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested Friday on Blacklog Road in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance. Deputy Kidd reported Sheriff Kirk stopped Marcum for swerving and crossing the center and fog line. The sheriff advised Marcum failed the field sobriety test. According to the report, Marcum stated she “took Klonopin and prescriptions.”

Thomas McKade Osborne

Thomas McKade Osborne, 21, of Inez, was arrested Friday on Blacklog Road in Inez on a bench warrant for court. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Gladys Maynard

Gladys Maynard, 47, of Inez, was arrested Friday at Bill Stepp Bottom, Inez, on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Darin Conley

Darin Conley, 36, of Boonville, was arrested Friday at Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on a fugitive from another state warrant out of Mingo County. Kidd served the warrant.

Robert D. Williamson

Robert D. Williamson, 41, of Inez, was arrested Friday on Crum Branch, Inez, on a complaint warrant charging him with third-degree escape, resisting arrest, second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), third-degree assault of police officer or probation officer and public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol). Kidd made the arrest.

Robert L. Williamson

Robert L. Williamson, 64, of Tomahawk, was arrested Friday on Main Street, Inez, on an indictment warrant charging him with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury. Kidd made the arrest.

Deanna Wiley

Deanna Wiley, 23, of Inez, was arrested Friday on Nicholas Street, Inez, on an indictment warrant charging her with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08 (aggravating circumstance), no registration plates, failure to produce insurance card. Kidd made the arrest.

Lacy Scott

Lacy Scott, 56, of Lovely, was arrested Friday at Moore’s Trailer Park, Lovely, on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

John Spears

John Spears, 87, of Lovely, was arrested Friday on Long Branch Road, Lovely, on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree wanton endangerment. Kidd made the arrest.

Phillip Horn

Phillip Horn, 56, of Warfield, was arrested Friday at Dempsey Housing in Warfield on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of marijuana. Kidd made the arrest.

Cecil Moore

Cecil Moore, 28, of Crum, West Virginia, was arrested Friday at Dempsey Apartments, Warfield, on a bench warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Noel Muncy Jude, 33, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Route 3, Debord, on a bench warrant out of Johnson County. Kidd served the warrant. She was also cited for speeding 20 mph over the limit and having no registration. The deputy said he clocked her on the radar at 75 mph in a 55 zone.

Fred T. Daniels

Fred T. Daniels, 52, of Tomahawk, was arrested Thursday on Davis Road, Tomahawk, on an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, driving on a DUI-suspended license, no registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance. Adams made the arrest.

Christopher S. Marcum

Christopher S. Marcum, 48, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on Bowentown Road in Inez on two warrants for court. Deputy David Adams made the arrest.

Taylor Howell

Taylor Howell, 25, of Inez, was arrested Thursday on a bench warrant for court. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.

Christopher Garr Maynard

Christopher Garr Maynard, 46, of Pilgrim, was arrested Thursday for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Adams made the arrest.

Brett Waller

Brett Waller, 58, of Warfield, was arrested Thursday on a fugitive from another state warrant. Kidd served the warrant.

John Pack

John Pack, 20, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.

Jordan Delong

Jordan Delong, 19, of Debord, was arrested Thursday at Cardinal Country Storey in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance and no moped operator’s. Kidd received a complaint about Delong driving recklessly on Old Middlefork with kids in the vehicle. The deputy stopped Delong at the Cardinal Country Store, where he noted Delong had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. According to the police report, Delong failed the field sobriety test and admitted to using marijuana.

Austin Maynard

Austin K. Maynard, 29, of Wittensville, was arrested Thursday in the circuit courtroom in Inez on a bench warrant. Deputy Dustin Hall served the warrant. 

Melissa Mahon-Rauch

Melissa Mahon-Rauch, 44, of Williamson, West Virginia, was arrested Thursday on a bench warrant.

Ryan Kelly Sites

Ryan Kelly Sites, 44, of Tomahawk, was arrested July 4 on Route 40 in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/substance. Sheriff Kirk responded to a call about an impaired driver and located Sites on Route 645. The sheriff noted Sites crossed the center line several times. Upon conducting a traffic stop, the sheriff noticed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage. According to the police report, Sites admitted he had several drinks, blew a .243 on the breath test and failed the field sobriety test.

Denny Marcum

Denny Marcum, 49, of Dunlow, West Virginia, was arrested July 4 in the Subway parking lot in Lovely for buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Sheriff Kirk was dispatched to Lovely on a report of a possibly impaired subject. He found Marcum searching through his car under the seats. Marcum consented to a search of the vehicle, which produced a “crack pipe” and methamphetamine. The sheriff stated Marcum had the crack pipe inside a paper towel in his pocket and had hidden a small amount of crystal substance in a plastic bag in his pocket. Marcum allegedly stated the crystal substance was “probably ice.”

Richard Thurman Dials

Richard Thurman Dials, 47, of Inez, was arrested July 4 at the Dollar General parking lot in Inez for public intoxication of controlled substance excludes alcohol, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, and no/expired registration plates. Sheriff Kirk was dispatched to Dollar General and found Dials passed out in a vehicle in the driver’s seat with the engine off. The sheriff reported Dials was “dripping with sweat,” had slurred speech, failed the field sobriety test, and admitted he had taken two neurontin and one suboxone. The sheriff found 18 naloxone strips in Dials’ pocket which were not in the original container.

Kaihla M. Gallagher

Kaihla M. Gallagher, 38, of Debord, was arrested July 3 at Sawmill Hollow in Debord for theft by unlawful taking or disposition shoplifting under $500. Sheriff Kirk responded to a call about two subjects driving a Uhaul shoplifting at Dollar General on New Route 3. Subjects left before the sheriff’s arrival, but he located them at a residence. The females admitted they stole several items. The sheriff retrieved several items from the back of the Uhaul.

Mary Setser

Mary Lou Setser, 52, of Inez, was arrested July 3 on a bench warrant. Kidd made the arrest.

Scottie Thompson

Scottie Thompson, 35, of Warfield, was arrested July 3 on Gordon Maynard Road in Inez for violation of air pollution standards, drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Kidd reported Thompson was at Gordon Maynard Road burning copper, emitting dark black smoke. According to the police report, Thompson stated he got the copper from a trailer at Horn’s and thought it was OK to burn it. The deputy said Thompson had his vehicle there, and laying in plain view on the passenger seat was a black case with a syringe and a clear bag containing a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Thompson stated he had permission from the owner to take the copper.

Pinky Haney

Pinky Haney, 66, of Inez, was arrested July 3 on Gordon Maynard Road in Inez for violation of air pollution standards and rules, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Kidd reported Haney was at a residence on Gordon Maynard burning copper, emitting a dark black smoke, and had other garbage in the burn pile. The deputy reported that Haney said he was the owner of the property.

Thomas Osborne

Thomas Osborne, 21, of Inez, was arrested July 3 on Gordon Maynard Road, Inez, for violation of air pollution standards and rules D.eputy Kidd reported Osborne was at his residence on Gordon Maynard Road burning copper and emitting a dark black smoke. Osborne also had other garbage in the burn pile and stated he did not take the copper or know where it came from.
