Debra K. Hackney

1962—2023

Debra Hackney, age 60, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away June 21, 2023, at Highlands Appalachian Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 12, 1962, in Freeburn, Kentucky, to the late Edgar and Ida Hackney. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her niece, Sharon Yaunk, three brothers, Roger Hackney, James Hackney and Truman Hackney, and three sisters, Brenda Mounts, Ruby Fitch and Patricia Blackburn.

She is survived by her daughter, Reana Pinson of Kermit, one brother, Harvey Hackney, one grandchild, Ra’Mello Warren, a host of nieces and nephews and a special best friend, Donna Jude.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Gospel Light Church, with Ronnie Pinson officiating. Burial was at the Damron Cemetery, under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
