Fireworks Saturday in Inez

INEZ — Martin County residents await the upcoming Fourth of July celebration. Fireworks, a parade and a block party will mark the occasion Saturday, July 1, in Inez.

Martin County Public Library is set to host its annual block party at the Collier Center starting at 5:30 p.m.

Maurice Mills, a member of the library board, revealed an enticing lineup of activities and entertainment that promises to make this year’s festivities unforgettable.

The event will include a lively parade and a talented DJ who will keep the crowd grooving with a curated selection of music. Attendees will also enjoy live performances by The Postman and surprise guest singers.

No celebration is complete without delicious food, and this block party will be no exception. Food vendors will be on-site at the Collier Center, offering an array of mouthwatering treats, including hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork and more. From savory delights to sweet indulgences, there will be something to satisfy every craving.

For those seeking unique crafts, toys and other items, the block party will host a variety of vendors who will showcase their wares. Attendees will have the chance to explore an assortment of merchandise. Additionally, children can unleash their creativity with an exciting rock painting activity, allowing their artistic side to shine.

As the day transitions into night, the Inez Volunteer Fire Department will take center stage with the much-anticipated fireworks display. The spectacle will light up the sky at 9:45 p.m. from the hill behind the Collier Center.
