MARTIN — Police suspect foul play in the death of a woman found dead Sunday in a residence in Floyd County.

The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post was notified of a deceased female at a residence on Arkansas Creek in Martin.

Police say the initial investigation indicated Amber Spradlin, 39, of Prestonsburg, suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of suspected foul play.

The Floyd County Coroner pronounced Spradlin deceased at the scene.

Detective Justin Wireman is leading the investigation. KSP personnel assisted him on scene.
