Sarah Ann (Stacy) Howard

1965—2023

Sarah Ann Howard, age 57, of Pilgrim, passed away June 4, 2023, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

She was born July 17, 1965, in Williamson, West Virginia, to the late Millard Stacy and Mary Lou Jude Stacy of Burning Creek. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey Stacy, Raymond Stacy and Jamie Stacy.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ernie Howard; one son, Eddie (Rebecca) Howard of Debord; one daughter, Mahalia (Kent Jarrell) Howard of Pilgrim; two brothers, Denver Stacy of Crum and Ricky Stacy of Lovely; and two sisters, Merky Jude of Milo, and Dorsey Stacy of Kermit. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Aubrey Howard, Ava Howard, Abe Howard, Willow Jarrell and Wyatt Jarrell, several nieces and nephews whom she loved, and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Buck Branch United Baptist church with Buddy Stacy, David Stacy and John Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow at the Howard Cemetery. Friends may visit the church Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. and until the time of services Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to assist with funeral costs. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
