Ethel ‘Snookie’ Flemings

1950—2023

Ethel “Snookie” Flemings, 72, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at her home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1950, in Mingo County, to the late Jessie Fields and Ora Parsley Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, George Fields and Lois Zeek.

Ethel is survived by her children, Greg (Calah) Fleming, Angie Williams, Lena (Scott) Workman and Allen Ray Flemings, all of Kermit, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jessie Fields of Louisa, Kentucky, Michael Fields and Avanell Hodge, both of Kermit, Loretta Fitch of Somerset, Kentucky, and Helen Evans of Lenore.

The funeral service was conducted Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Richmond Funeral Home Warfield Chapel, with Bobby Perry officiating. Burial was at the Fields and Messer Cemetery in Kermit under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
