INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests and other actions:
Lara Victoria Giacomoni, 40, of Lovely, was arrested on an indictment warrant Sunday at Zip Zone in Lovely. The indictment charges her with burglary and persistent felony offender. Deputy David Adams made the arrest.
Kristi Fletcher, 33, of Inez, was arrested Saturday on Route 3 in Inez for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 2 grams methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified) and a bench warrant for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.
Deputy David Adams reported that Fletcher was a passenger in a vehicle that he stopped for an inadequate muffler and a rear license not illuminated.
“I observed both individuals in the vehicle moving around,” Adams stated.
When the deputy approached the window, he saw Fletcher holding something in her hand. Fletcher allegedly told the deputy that the driver Robert Moore had given her a bunch of baggies and told her “to shove it in her.” She also said that as the two passed Adams, who was parked at Save A Lot, Moore handed her a bunch of baggies and told her to” shove it because the law would not search her.” Fletcher, who had a bag in her pocket, allegedly said she did not have time to shove it before they pulled over.
According to the police report, Fletcher said Moore told her the bag in her pocket contained fentanyl. She also said Moore handed her money while handing her the drugs to hide, then threw a set of red scales into her purse.
The officer seized five round blue pills identified as Diazepam 10 mg, 3.6 grams of fentanyl, 3.06 grams of meth, red digital scales, an unknown white pill and $158 cash.
Robert Moore, 36, of Debord, was arrested Saturday on Route 3 in Inez for first-degree trafficking in controlled substance (more than 2 grams methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives), possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, inadequate silencer (muffler) and rear license not illuminated.
Deputy Adams said he was patrolling and stopped Moore’s vehicle for an inadequate muffler and rear license not illuminated. Dispatched advised Moore was operating on a suspended license. When the officer approached the window, he observed the passenger Kristi Fletcher holding something in her hand. The passenger advised Moore had given her baggies containing drugs and told her to shove it in her. She also said Moore handed her cash and threw scales into her purse. According to the police report, Fletcher said she did not have time to hide the baggies. The deputy recovered a bag from Fletcher’s pocket containing five round blue pills identified as Diazepam 10 mg, 3.6 grams of fentanyl, 3.06 grams of meth, red digital scales, an unknown white pill and $158 cash.
Ronald Crum, 44, of Tomahawk, was arrested Friday on Shirley Moore Lane in Tomahawk on a warrant charging him with flagrant nonsupport. Adams made the arrest.
Tammy Stepp, 44, of Inez, was arrested Thursday at Horn’s BP off Route 645/Milo Road for possession of marijuana, public intoxication, possession of controlled substance and prescription controlled substance not in proper container.
Deputy Kidd responded to a call about a woman passed out at Horn’s BP and found Stepp slumped over in a chair. According to the police report, Stepp had slurred speech and glassy, bloodshot eyes and attempted to fall back asleep after waking. The deputy said Stepp had a syringe and needle hanging from her back pocket. Stepp was arrested and taken to the booking room in the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, where officers found a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana and an orange pill in her right front pocket.
Joshua Moore, 25, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order.
Shane N. Ward, 23, of Inez, was arrested Thursday by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation (for felony offense).
Megan Maynard, 23, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in the circuit courtroom in Inez for probation violation. Deputy Keith A. Meadows made the arrest.
Norman Fletcher, 72, of Inez, was arrested May 17 at Zip Zone in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of substance.
Deputy David Adams assisted Sheriff Kirk on a complaint of a male subject passed out in a running vehicle at Zip Zone. According to the police report, Fletcher failed a field sobriety test and admitted to taking Neurontin and Suboxone an hour before.
Nathaniel Maynard, 30, of Lenoir City, Tennessee, was arrested May 17 at Marathon in Lovely for theft of services less than $500 and menacing.
Deputy Kidd was dispatched to Marathon in Lovely, where Maynard allegedly stated he got $59.80 in gas and did not have the money to pay for it. According to the police report, when confronted in the store, Maynard asked the clerk if he could go outside and shut his car door, then went to his car, grabbed a big knife and walked back into the store. Maynard allegedly commented that his “knife is to scare people.”
Robert Meade, 70, of Inez, was served a criminal summons May 15 for terroristic threatening. His court date in Martin District Court is June 13 at 9 a.m.
