Ernestene Stepp

1937—2023

Ernestene Stepp, 86, of Inez, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

She was born April 27, 1937, in Mingo County, West Virginia, to the late Lucy Messer Fields and Jackson Fields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Bobby Ray Stepp, James Millard Stepp and Debra Stepp Workman, and one brother, Charles Ray Fields. 

Ernestene is survived by her son, Donald (Debra) Stepp of London, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer (Larry) Vanover, Jennifer (Duane) Gamble, Melinda (Jarrett) Gayne, Matthew Workman, Natalie (Dwayne) Sublett, Kristy Stepp, Summer Stepp, Holly (Tate) Smith and Vincent Stepp; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings, Imogene (Charles) Bolden and Jocquelene (Rick) Bryan, and daughter-in-law, Anna Stepp. 

A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
