INEZ — Martin County High School athletes Aiden Horn and Savannah Young are the Mountain Citizen Players of the Week.

Horn (#1) plays for the Martin County High School baseball team and helped lead the Cardinals in two big wins over district rival Magoffin County last week. The sophomore went 6-for-8 at the plate, picked up six RBIs, and scored four runs.

Horn currently leads the Cardinals with a .447 batting average and is tied for the most RBIs with 15.

Young (#11) pitches and plays shortstop for the Martin County High School softball team. The senior had five hits in three games last week for the Lady Cardinals.

Young leads the team in hitting with 13 hits and has a batting average of .433. She is tied for the most runs scored with eight and has four stolen bases.
