INEZ — Judge John T. Chafin heard the following cases April 10 and 11 in Martin District Court:

Harrison Messer (arraignment) — 1. Alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense; 2. Menacing: 1. Pleaded guilty, $100 fine and cost, show cause 10/10/23; 2. Dismissed in exchange for guilty plea.

Covey Sweeny (arraignment) — Unauthorized use of motor vehicle, first offense; no operator’s/moped license: Bench warrant $500 cash.

Richard E. Delong (pretrial) — All-terrain vehicle violations; operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol, second: Reset 6/20/23 at 9 a.m.

Calvin Fletcher (pretrial) — Assault, fourth degree, no visible injury: Pleaded guilty, 12 months, probation two years, no new violation of law, complete IOP at ARC, follow all ARC recommendations, do not consume alcohol or drugs, no unlawful contact with Pierette Thompson, fines and cost waived.

Tommy Messer (pretrial) — Local city ordinance: Bench warrant $500 cash.

Jason Mollett (pretrial) — Theft by unlawful taking all others $500-$10,000; criminal mischief, first degree: Moot, in treatment.

Jason Mollett (pretrial) — Receiving stolen property under $500: Moot, in treatment.

Billie Music (pretrial) — No operator’s/moped license: Failure to appear.

Billie Music (pretrial) — Criminal trespassing, third degree: Bench warrant $500 cash, blanket both cases.

Billie Jean Music (pretrial) — Criminal trespassing, second degree: Bench warrant $500 cash, blanket both cases.

Jody Pruitt (pretrial) — 1. Operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs (aggravated), 0.08, first offense, amended to operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs, 0.08, second offense: Amended to reckless driving, pleaded guilty, $200 fine, cost waived, show cause 10/10/23 on fine only.

Jody Pruitt (pretrial) — Charges not listed: 1, 2, 3. Dismissed; 4. Pleaded guilty, $25 fine and cost, 5. Pleaded guilty, $500 fine; 6-8. Dismissed.

Jackie Blackburn (preliminary hearing) — Criminal mischief first degree; controlled substance prescription not in original container, first: Waived to grand jury.
