County selling land, vehicles

INEZ — Martin County Fiscal Court is one step closer to selling two parcels of land, a riding mower and three automobiles.

The court declared the property surplus and is taking sealed bids until noon April 20.

According to fiscal court documents, the properties “are no longer used or needed for governmental purposes.”

One tract of land contains 0.44 acres and is located between the Warfield IGA and the Warfield Church of God. It is known as Tract No. 133 and identified by tax map No. 053-01-03.004.00 in the PVA office.

The second tract of land is the Pigeon Roost/Wolf Creek Transfer Station at 489 South Wolf Creek Road in Pilgrim (Route 1439), identified by tax map No. 047-00-00-120.00 in the PVA office.

The John Deere riding lawnmower is parked at the county garage. The fiscal court notes, “The mower is not running well, if at all.”

According to fiscal court documents, the two trucks and one car listed as surplus are “not running well.” Those vehicles include:

•2007 Ford F-250 truck. (VIN# 1FTNF21558EA93848)

•2010 Ford F-250 truck. (VIN# 1FTNF2B56AEA39933)

•2004 Ford Crown Victoria. (VIN # 2FAFP71W94X146525)

The two trucks are parked at the county garage, while the car is parked behind the Martin County Business Center.

Submit sealed bids to the Martin County Judge’s Office, 42 East Main Street, Inez, KY 41224.

The fiscal court will open the bids April 20.
