INEZ — The Martin County Lady Cardinals had a tough time generating runs Monday, dropping their game with Shelby Valley 12-0 in the opening round of the 15th Region All-A at Cardinal Park.

A single by Bailey Dials in the third inning was a positive for Martin County.

Lilly Napier was the winning pitcher for Shelby Valley. She went six innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out eight and walking zero.

Zoie Hinkle took the loss for Martin County. Hinkle surrendered 12 runs on 13 hits over six innings.

Dials and Addison Duncan each collected one hit to lead Martin County.
