Martin County Arrest Report

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:

Kobe Bryan Davis, 27, of Hode, was arrested Tuesday in Warfield on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol), possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. Deputy Lauren O’Bryan says Davis was parked outside Warfield Tobacco and did not respond when she knocked multiple times on the vehicle’s window, so she opened the door and shook him.

“Davis appeared to be extremely under the influence. He had slurred speech, was unable to stand still, and had severe involuntary twitching,” the deputy reported. “He gave me consent to search the vehicle, where I located a red snort straw as well as his wallet that contained a dollar bill folded up with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine inside it.”

Jeffrey Charles, 58, of Louisa, was arrested Friday in Tomahawk on alcohol intoxication in a public place and two bench warrants out of Lawrence County. Sheriff Kirk responded to a call about a man going door to door on Spence Branch Road. The sheriff found Charles sitting in the road in a chair. He says Charles had a strong odor of alcohol about him, failed the field sobriety test, and blew 0.129 on the portable breath tester.

Patrick Blackburn, 27, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in a traffic stop in Inez on driving on DUI-suspended license. Deputy Braxton McGinnis made the arrest.
