WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The third annual Southern West Virginia Fishing Expo returns March 11 to the historic Williamson Fieldhouse.
Vendors with fishing, hunting and outdoor supplies will be set up under one roof with bargains on rods, reels, tackle and so much more for the sportsman.
Williamson Parks & Recreation and Friends of the Tug Fork River are sponsoring the event, which welcomed at least 2,000 attendees last year.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two and especially like meeting a lot of our people,” said avid fisherman Pete Runyon of Friends of the Tug Fork River.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features food trucks and a local fish fry.
Chris Lawrence, host of the WV Metro News Outdoors radio show, will be there to broadcast his popular Saturday morning radio show.
Admission is $8 and kids 10 and under get in free.
