Limestone Cycling Tour will support Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief

Hundreds in April cycling tour

MAYSVILLE, Ky. — The Limestone Cycling Tour 2023, presented by Acciona Energy, is set for April 29 in Maysville and will support Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief.

The annual event attracts hundreds of cyclists who can choose from four routes, each with varying degrees of challenge for almost any level of training.

Riders may register for a challenging century, a metric century, a 44-mile (intermediate) or a 26-mile loop (beginner).

Each route is almost entirely on curvy, lightly traveled back roads through the rolling hills surrounding Maysville.

Community volunteers will fully support the routes with surprise-themed SAG stops.

The event starts at 8 a.m. with all routes leaving and returning to Limestone Landing.

After a day on the roads, cyclists and their support team can enjoy the local attractions.

Limestone Cycling League and the Maysville Rotary Club organized the tour with support from 35 sponsors, including Mason County Fiscal Court.

According to the organizers, Rotary’s District #6740 Disaster Relief will direct proceeds to those in Eastern Kentucky recovering from 2022’s devastating floods. Local clubs in the flood area are Pikeville, Whitesburg and Hazard.
