Andy B. Price
1944—2023

Andy B. Price, 78, of Hode, Kentucky, departed this world Monday, Feb. 13, 2023.

He was born Sept. 20, 1944 to the late Dorthie Booth Maynard. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Allen Gray and his uncle, Arthur Booth.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Kathleen; his daughters, Robin (Keith) Goble and Rhonda Price; one son, Andy (Erica) Price Jr.; his grandchildren, Dewey Carter, Matthew Price, Christopher Price, Jonathan Allen and Nicholas Price; one great-grandchild, Christian Carter. He is also leaves behind two siblings, Norman (Oma) Bowen and Pauline (George) Chaffins; three brothers-in-law, Bill (Carol) Chaffins, Lionel (Linda) Chaffins, and George (Pauline) Chaffins and three sisters-in-law, Helen Bledsoe, Myrtle Mitchell and Nona Cole.

Andy was a 1963 graduate of Warfield High School. He served in the United States Army from 1964 until 1967 as a military police officer. He was an employee of Wolf Creek Collieries for 21 years and was a Warfield Missionary Baptist Church member.

Andy loved spending time with his family and going to the beach.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023 at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home, with Garmin Preece of Warfield Missionary Church officiating. Burial was at the Chaffins Family Cemetery, Hode. Dewey Carter, Keith Goble, Matthew Price, Christopher Price, Nicholas Price, Chris Newsome, Jonathan Allen and Keenan Osborne were pallbearers. Arrangements were under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
