
Martin County finishes regular season 23-5
Junior Laken Williams fired in 38 points to lead Martin County over West Carter 70-55 at home Feb. 13. Williams and the Lady Cardinals escaped Elliot County 55-52 on the road Feb. 15, then fell to Pike Central 66-57 in a road game Friday. They finished the regular season with a 23-5 record.

Williams drops 38 to lead MC over WC
INEZ, Ky. — All eyes were on Laken Williams as she pumped in 38 points to lead Martin County to a 70-55 victory over West Carter in a Feb. 13 game in Inez.
West Carter, from the 16th Region, outscored the Lady Cardinals 20-14 in the first quarter.
The Lady Cardinals allowed Camryn Burton to knock down three treys for 11 of her team’s 20 points. Katie Marcum led Martin County with eight.
