Roy Sturgill
1993—2023

Roy Sturgill, 29, of Greenup, passed away Feb. 1, 2023.
He was born March 15, 1993 in Columbus, Ohio, to Seymour and Betty (June) Sturgill.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Mia Hensley and Peyton Sturgill, both of Marion, Ohio, and four brothers, Seymour “CC” (Nichole) Sturgill of North Carolina and Caleb (Rachel) Sturgill, Jeremiah Sturgill and Gavin Sturgill, all of Greenup, and one sister, Jessica (Lee Prince) Hamilton of Greenup. He is also survived by three brothers from another mother (his words), Eric Elder, Casey (Rachel Anderson) Johnson and James “Bubba James” Hay.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Feb. 10, 2023 at the Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Burial was at the Short Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral costs. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
