INEZ — Martin County Water District will begin leak detection in the Inez pressure zone starting Friday night around 10:30 p.m.

Alliance Water Resources announced Tuesday that the work would be performed at night to limit the effect on customers.

The announcement states: “This will be the first time such leak detection has been performed and will involve the closing and opening of multiple valves, including Old Route 3, Main Street, Old Middlefork, Wickerfield, Coldwater, Little Blacklog and Blacklog. These areas may experience intermittent service overnight.

“Because we are leak detecting the heart of our service area, there is potential for interruptions in other areas.

“Service is expected to return to normal by early morning.

“We thank you for your continued patience as we work to strengthen your water service.”
