Lady Cardinals JV dominates Paintsville

INEZ — Martin County Lady Cardinals Junior Varsity took care of business Jan. 17 dominating the Paintsville Tigers 30-17.

Lady Cards jumped out 10-0 on the Tigers in the first quarter. Five different Lady Cards got in the book. Bella Muncy knocked down a 3-pointer to start the game 3-0. Harless, May and Workman each added two, and McCoy knocked down a free throw.

Paintsville scored five points in the second quarter. The Lady Cards scored six to go in with a 16-5 lead at the half.

Sophie Harless started the third quarter by knocking down a 3-pointer. Spaulding and Alyssa Maynard got in the book scoring two each to push the Lady Cards lead out 23-11 going into the third.

Alyssa Maynard started the fourth quarter by scoring two baskets for four of her six points for the game. Muncy added two as the Lady Cards went on to win.

Leading the way for the Lady Cards was Bella Muncy led the Lady Cards with seven points, Alyssa Maynard dropped in six points, Harless and Workman each fired in five points, May flipped in four points, Spaulding added two points, and McCoy finished with one point.

Howard and Blankenship led Paintsville with four points each, Music and Porter added three, S. Music chipped in two points, and Keeton finished with one.
