Garnet Lynn Brewer

1945—2022

Garnet Lynn Brewer, 77, went home with the lord Dec. 30, 2022.

She was born Sept. 19, 1945 to the late Anthony Garvich and Lillian Maxine Withrow Garvich. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Jake Brewer, son Lacey Odell Brewer, stepmother Jean Garvich and one infant brother. 

Garnet is survived by her brothers, Jim (Edith) Garvich of Sharpsburg, Tim (Trish) Garvich of Cleveland, Tenn., and Michael Garvich of Springfield, Tenn.; her children, James Paul Brewer, Rodney Joe Brewer and Pamela Brewer, all of Kermit, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Alisha (Adam) Brewer of Crab Orchard, Courtney (Jonathan) Stringer of Eubank, Ariel Brewer, Brianna Brewer, Kiara Jude, all of Kermit, W.Va., Neveah Kirkendoll of Chapmanville, W.Va., Jake (Destiny) Brewer of Lancaster, and Alyssa Brewer of Kermit, W.Va., and four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Callie, Chloe and Lucas. She is also survived by special cousins Wanda and Teddy Bragg and Diana and Frank Dillon; special friends she has adopted as her own kids, Jamie Marcum, Mike Starling and Kim Goble; friends that mean so much to her, Brenda Horn, Sarah Maynard and Shiela Kay Jude; and others she has touched through the years. 

Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 2, 2022 at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home. Arrangements were under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
