PIKEVILLE — Martin County Cardinals Youth Wrestling won the gold in the Hatfield & McCoy 32 Friday at Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville. The team finished first out of 45 teams with over 500 competitors.

“Not too shabby,” Coach Andrew Chaffin said. “Keep working hard. If they don’t know who you are yet, they will soon.”

The Cardinals, who won Dec. 20 won the Bobby Bates Classic in Wise, Va., edged the second-place Warhawks of Pikeville 343 to 313 to win the Hatfield & McCoy.
