Gary L. ‘Mike’ Moore

1958—2022

Gary L. “Mike” Moore, 64, of Pisgah Forest, N.C., formerly of Martin County, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at Pardee Hospital in Henderson, N.C.

He was born May 10, 1958 in Martin County to the late Wes and Sarah Duncan Moore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three siblings, Paul Moore, Darrell Moore and Shelby Murphy.

Gary is survived by his wife, Grethel Marcum of Pisgah Forest, N.C.; stepson, Paul David Marcum Jr. and his wife, Rhonda Gail Marcum; and his grandchildren, Paul David Marcum III, Ashley Marie Marcum and Jacob Richard Marcum. Additional survivors include eight siblings, Shawn Moore, Eddie Moore, Bobby Moore, Mary Fletcher, Marlene Jude, Carolyn Sue Meyers, Kathy Chapman and Joyce Hommel.

Gary was the best husband, dad and grandpa anyone could ask for. He will be missed beyond measure and loved by all.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022 at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home with Flem Jennings Messer and Scott Messer officiating. Burial was at the Jude-Fletcher Cemetery under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
