INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:
Larry Johnson, 72, of Inez, was arrested Friday in Inez on criminal trespassing. Deputy Braxton McGinnis reported that the 911 Dispatch Office caught Johnson on camera on the second floor of the Martin County Government Center, and the county attorney advised Johnson was barred from the premises and on probation.
Reginald Young, 42, USP Big Sandy, was served a fugitive from another state warrant out of Maryland March 22. McGinnis served the warrant.
Carlos Barton, 32, of Tomahawk, was arrested March 22 in Inez on two bench warrants out of Johnson County. Deputy Tyler Lafferty made the arrest.
Cheryl Delong, 41, of Tomahawk, was arrested March 21 in Inez on two indictment warrants. McGinnis made the arrest.
Kristi Fletcher, 32, of Lovely, was arrested March 18 in Lovely on possession of controlled substance, third degree; possession of controlled substance, second degree, and drug paraphernalia. Lafferty reported that Fletcher had six gabapentin pills and a loaded syringe inside her purse. According to the deputy, Fletcher said the liquid inside the syringe was suboxone.
Bobby Farmer, 30, of Inez, was arrested March 18 in Inez on public intoxication controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and criminal trespass, first degree. Deputy Wesley Endicott responded to a caller who alleged Farmer tried to enter a home on Route 292. The caller allegedly pushed Farmer out and called 911. According to Endicott, Farmer advised that he had used meth and fentanyl four hours earlier.
Hallee Joseph, 28, of Boonscamp, was arrested March 17 in Inez on a bench warrant out of Johnson County charging her with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of controlled substance (LSD), possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), drug paraphernalia. Deputy Adam Smith made the arrest.
Charles Frazier, 55, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested March 16 in Pilgrim on two bench warrants out of Pike County. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
Willie Johnson, 58, of Inez, was arrested March 16 in Inez on a bench warrant. Lafferty made the arrest.
Dwayne Crum, 30, of Inez, was arrested March 16 in Inez on a bench warrant. McGinnis made the arrest.
Justin Crum, 32, of Tomahawk, was arrested March 16 in Inez on a bench warrant. Endicott made the arrest.
Kendra L. Preece, 45, of Lovely, was arrested March 15 in Lovely on a bench warrant. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
Joshua Scott, 35, of Inez, was arrested March 15 in Inez on two bench warrants. Lafferty made the arrest.
Littering and animal-related citations
Austin Lee Maynard, 28, of Inez, was cited at Hillview Drive Camp Branch on criminal littering and violation of air pollution standards and rules. Sheriff Kirk received a complaint from a resident stating they could not breathe for the strong odor. The sheriff said Maynard had an open dump on his property and was burning household trash, including plastics and other items.
Kathy Fletcher, 48, of Inez, was cited March 21 on criminal littering. McGinnis reported that Fletcher was littering her property at 5167 Turkey Creek Road.
Megan Ariana Maynard, 25, of Pikeville, was cited March 16 at Bill Stepp Bottom Road in Inez on harboring a vicious animal. Lafferty said he received a second call within a week about Maynard’s dogs attacking a child. Lafferty took pictures of the injuries and called the dog warden several times on scene but the dog warden failed to answer.
Ivan Maynard, 61, of Inez, was cited March 11 on criminal littering. Lafferty said he cited Maynard for trash that was thrown off his porch and over the hill next to the road. Sheriff Kirk advised Maynard to get it cleaned up and he still has not.
Annette Jackie, 57, of Inez, was cited March 3 for criminal littering. McGinnis reported Jackson was dumping trash around the property and creek bank at 233 Ratlifftown Road.
