EDGARTON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department arrested three individuals on felony charges Saturday.
Chief Field Deputy Allen Mounts said that deputies arrested Barry D. McClanahan, Nichols Pruitt and Christy Wolford in Edgarton.
The three allegedly were attempting to steal telephone wire in the Thacker area of Mingo County to sell for the copper.
Cpl. M.A. Lendearo, Cpl. M.J. Mounts and Deputy Matt Tiller were the arresting officers.
All three are charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony, and felony destruction of property.
The trio was taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden. They will be arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court.
The MCSD stated these individuals are innocent until proven guilty.
