INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s office reported the following arrests:
David Whitt, 45, of River, was arrested Tuesday for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance. Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.
Michael L. Maynard, 45, of Inez, was arrested Monday in Inez for failure to appear on a misdemeanor. Constable Tony Preece made the arrest.
Barbara Gordon, 42, of Inez, was arrested Saturday in Warfield for failure to appear, inadequate silencer (muffler), no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, failure to produce insurance card, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle and driving on DUI-suspended license. Adams made the arrest.
Frankie Maynard, 46, of Pilgrim, was arrested Saturday in Warfield for first-degree trafficking in controlled substance (greater than 2 grams methamphetamine) and third-degree possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified). Deputy Adams reports that he was patrolling and made a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Maynard was a passenger. According to the deputy, when Maynard exited the car, an officer noticed a pill bottle in his waistband.
“[Maynard] admitted to having meth in the bottle and asked deputy Kirk to let him throw it in the river,” Adams reported. “Inside the bottle, there were 13 individually packaged for sale baggies of a clear crystal-like substance [Maynard] advised was meth, 13 white pills identified as 800 milligrams Gabapentin, $174 in cash.”
John Newsome, 42, of Crum, W.Va., was arrested Friday in Lovely on a bench warrant for Pike District Court. Adams made the arrest.
Noah Bowen, 67, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order. Sheriff Kirk made the arrest.
James Harless, 56, of Lovely, was arrested Thursday in Inez for a parole violation. Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.
Henry McCoy, 44, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).
Shane Ward, 23, of Inez, was arrested Thursday for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and traffic charges.
Mary Setser, 52, of Inez, was arrested Thursday in Inez on a warrant for court. Kidd made the arrest.
Zach Delong, 26, of Debord, was arrested Nov. 29 in Inez for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substance. Kidd made the arrest.
According to Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, the Kentucky State Police arrested Whitley Perry, 25, of Warfield, Monday for failure to appear.
