Tomahawk man facing drug charges in Ohio

Police confiscated meth, suspected fentanyl, marijuana, scales and cash after making a traffic stop in Colegrove, Ohio.

COLEGROVE, Ohio — A Tomahawk man is facing charges after police in Lawrence County, Ohio, confiscated methamphetamine, fentanyl and marijuana in a traffic stop Nov. 23.

Officers with the Coal Grove Police department conducted the traffic stop for a traffic offense.

Officers say the driver of the vehicle advised that the motor vehicle contained a bulk amount of illegal narcotics.

Upon a search, the officers located an ounce of methamphetamine, multiple baggies of suspected fentanyl, scales and additional items associated with the sale of narcotics. 

Kody Harless, 23, of Tomahawk, and Bobby Spurlock, 23, of Batavia, Ohio, were arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs (Felony 2) and possession of drugs (Felony 5).

Both were transported to the Lawrence County (Ohio) Jail.
