WARFIELDThe Warfield Park Community Center board invites everyone to the annual Veterans Day ceremony Saturday at 10 a.m.

Tolsia High School JROTC and Band will kick off the ceremony to honor every military branch.

Coordinator Denise Chaffins and volunteers will serve a delicious home-cooked meal to veterans, their families, and guests.

“Sometimes the greatest blessing we can bestow on a veteran is the gift of our time just to listen,” said Chaffins.

Family members who wish to honor veterans who have passed on can bring photos and other memorabilia to display and share memories.

“They have so many stories to share,” said Chaffins.

Event organizers welcome donations as well as drinks and prepared food.

“November 5th is the perfect time to show our thanks to them,” added Chaffins. “The flag still flies, America is still the land of the free and the home of the brave, and we will forever owe them a debt we can never repay. God bless the American soldier.”
