Martin County Arrest Report

CITIZEN STAFF REPORT

INEZ — Martin County Sheriff John Kirk’s Office reported the following arrests:

Shawn Matthew Muncy

Shawn Matthew Muncy, 36, of Pilgrim, was arrested Monday on Emily Creek Road in Pilgrim for fourth-degree assault dating violence (no visible injury). Deputy David Adams was dispatched to a residence on Emily Creek Road where two Kentucky State Police troopers were on the scene when Adams arrived. According to the police report, Muncy told police that he got into a verbal argument with his wife, put his hand on her mouth and told her to shut up. He stated his wife shoved him and he shoved her back. His wife advised officers that Muncy had open-hand slapped her multiple times while she was on the toilet, and she was screaming for her daughter to help. The report states the couple’s five children were present during the fight.

Brandon Allen

Brandon Allen, 37, of Warfield, was arrested Saturday in Warfield on a bench warrant for court. Deputy J.C. Kirk made the arrest.

James Harmon

James Harmon, 30, of Warfield, was arrested Saturday on Blacklog Road in Inez for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), improperly on the left side of the road, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, no registration plate and no registration receipt. Deputy Billy Patrick reported that he stopped Harmon’s vehicle after observing him across the center line. When the deputy asked Harmon if he had any illegal narcotics, Harmon allegedly said he had “H” and gave the deputy a small plastic bag containing a white powder substance.

Jamie Jude

Jamie Jude, 50, of Inez, was arrested Saturday in Inez on a bench warrant for court. Patrick made the arrest.

Pamela Mathieu

Pamela Mathieu, 52, of Louisa, was arrested Friday in Inez for public intoxication of a controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (10 or more dosage units opiate). Deputy Chris Kidd responded to a call from Blue Light Bargains stating an intoxicated female was in the store. The police report says Mathieu had slurred speech and confusion. Mathieu allegedly admitted to taking oxycodone and Xanax earlier in the day and was too intoxicated to perform field sobriety tests. The officer conducted a post-arrest search and discovered $9,400 bound with rubber bands in a black purse. He also found several loose pills that Mathieu allegedly stated were oxycodone, a bottle dated Oct. 24 containing oxycodone 10 mg., and “several papers that appeared to show ledger amounts from different people.”

Chase Hale

Chase Hale, 18, of Lovely, was arrested Oct. 26 in Inez on two bench warrants for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Ashley Salmons

Ashley Salmons, 31, of Inez, was arrested Oct. 25 on two bench warrants for court. Kidd made the arrest.

Christopher S. Marcum

Christopher S. Marcum, 47, of Inez, was arrested Oct. 25 in Inez for third-degree assault police officer or probation officer, resisting arrest and a bench warrant for court. Deputy Adams reported that he went to a residence on Bowentown Lane to execute a warrant on Marcum and found the suspect hiding under a blanket in the homeowner’s room. According to the police report, after Marcum was handcuffed, he began to “passively resist arrest by refusing to walk to the cruiser.” The deputy reported that he was holding Marcum’s arms and Marcum kept pulling away and trying to squat down.

“Marcum then proceeded to bite me on my left forearm,” Adams said. “I pulled my arm out of his mouth, then Marcum kicked me in the right leg.”

Adams said he took Marcum to the ground, where the suspect became compliant.

Todd Fitzpatrick

Todd Fitzpatrick, 27, of Louisa, was arrested Oct. 26 in Inez on an indictment warrant out of Lawrence County charging him with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), operating motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicant and drug paraphernalia buy/possession. Adams made the arrest.

Joseph Chris Jude, 41, of Lovely, was arrested Oct. 25 for first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), fleeing or evading police (on foot) and resisting arrest. Kidd made the arrest.
