When law enforcement questioned him, Jude took off running toward the creek. Deputy Chris Kidd chased and caught him after a short distance. Kidd reports that Jude started resisting and fighting him and had to be taken to the ground. The deputy notes he “applied restraints while [Jude] was actively resisting with minimum necessary force.”
Kendra Davis, 28, of Warfield, was arrested Monday in Inez. Deputy Kidd responded to a call about a woman passing out in the DSS office parking lot and said he found Davis slumped over in the passenger seat. According to the police report, Davis stated she had taken two suboxone and did not realize how strong they were.

Wayne Tyler Muncy, 25, of Crum, W.Va., was arrested Oct. 23 in Warfield for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). According to the police report, Kenisha Cooper told police Muncy showed up at Apartment 10C screaming and beating on the door, and when she opened the door, he tried to barge in, smashing her hand in the door and kneeing her in the leg. Deputy J.C. Kirk noted bruising and physical marks on Cooper.
Patrick Lee Blackburn, 27, of Louisa, was arrested Oct. 21 in Lovely for driving on a DUI-suspended license. Blackburn was also cited for failure to illuminate headlamps. The police report states Deputy Kirk stopped Blackburn for a headlight not working and discovered his license was suspended.

Adam A. Maynard, 38, of Pilgrim, was arrested Oct. 19 in Pilgrim for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence), resisting arrest and third-degree assault (police officer). Deputy Adams responded to a call to assist Constable Bradford Preece in arresting a male subject armed with a hammer on S. Wolf Creek and threatening to hit any law enforcement that came to the location. Allegedly, Maynard stated police would have to kill him to take him to jail.
Adams reports that when he attempted to handcuff Maynard, the suspect pulled away and squared up to fight. When Constable Tony Preece grabbed Maynard in a bear hug to get him under control, Maynard kneed Adams in the groin.
“After he kneed me in the groin, he squared up again to fight. I closed-fist hit him once in the left cheek and right side jaw. [Maynard] tried to push me back, and I closed-fist hit [Maynard] in the ribs and took him down to the bed.” According to Adams, Maynard stopped fighting at that point and placed his hands behind his back.
