INEZ — Maci Maynard is the First State Bank Player of the Week.

Maynard turned in two dominant efforts for the Lady Cardinals, averaging 16 points and 15.5 rebounds per game against top regional competition.

In Martin County’s 15th Region opening-round win over Lawrence County, she led the way with 17 points while shooting 71.4% from the floor. The center also went 7-of-10 from the free-throw line and pulled down an incredible 19 rebounds.

Maynard followed that with another strong performance in the quarterfinals against Pikeville, recording 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Over two 15th Region tournament games, the star totaled 32 points and 31 rebounds.
