Minnie Mae (Williamson) Crum
1940—2026

Minnie Mae (Williamson) Crum, 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6, 2026.
Born Oct. 22, 1940, in Grey Eagle, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Grace (Fitch) and Ersel Williamson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Butch” Crum, three sisters and one brother.
Minnie Mae surrendered her life to Jesus at the age of 16.
She married in October 1961 and spent 63 years being a Godly example of what a wife and mother should be. Together, she and Butch raised their four children in church and served in various ministries over the years.
Minnie Mae was a dedicated prayer warrior, and the reason so many of us are here today. She showed her love in countless ways.
Minnie Mae loved to cook. If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. Homemade chicken and dumplings, and “Old Stoneface” were among the favorites. You could always count on something sweet to complete any meal. She not only cooked for special occasions but for special people, showing her love by filling our bellies.
Minnie Mae selflessly poured all that she had and all that she was into those she loved. She could always be counted on to keep your secrets, to hug away your doubts, and to give sound, biblical advice. She was never too busy to listen to your cares and guide you on the right path.
Minnie was a devoted Bible reader and loved to talk about Jesus. Among her favorite passages were Psalms 91 and John 14, which she could recite from memory. If you did not know about Jesus when you met her, you did before you left her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children: Bruce Crum, Grace (Jeff) McDowell, Ersela (Robert) Jordan and Robin (Rick) Jones. She also leaves behind one brother, David (Bobbie) Fitch of Plain City, Ohio; one sister, Pat Sheperd of Inez, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many more beloved family members.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Crum Funeral Home in Inez with interment at the Fitzpatrick Cemetery on Marrowbone in Kermit, West Virginia.
