NAUGATUCK, W.Va. — The Lady Panthers of Tug Valley are headed back to the West Virginia State basketball tournament after a 59-37 victory over Wirt County in the Class A, Region IV co-championship game March 4 at the TVHS gym at Naugatuck.
Last season Tug Valley made it all the way to the championship game in Charleston before losing to defending state champs Gilmer County. The two teams split their two regular-season contests this season.

In the regional game, Coach Seth Ooten once again got a balanced offensive attack. Kylie Deboard led the way with 14 points, Bailee Hall scored 12, Gracie Hynd and Katelyn Richardson both scored nine, Haven Deskins added eight and Katie Hall netted seven points.
Hall pulled down 16 rebounds, while Deskins hauled in eight and K. Hall six. DeBoard had six assists and four steals for the Lady Panthers.
Bree Dawson led Wirt County with 11 points.
The No. 2-seeded Lady Panthers (19-4) are headed back to the state tournament next week in Charleston and will play No. 7 Greater Beckley Christian (16-7) on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
