The Tug Valley Lady Panthers finished out their regular season with a win at Chapmanville and a victory at Lawrence County.
Tug Valley 59, Chapmanville 23
The Lady Panthers downed Class AAA Chapmanville 58-23 in a road contest Feb. 17.
Tug Valley used a smothering defense to jump out to a 20-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Katie Hall led a balanced scoring attack for Coach Seth Ooten with 15 points and pulled down 17 rebounds. Kylie DeBoard scored 12 points and dished out seven assists, while Bailee Hall added 11 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. Gracie Hynd, a freshman, scored 11 off the bench, while senior Haven Deskins added eight and Katelyn Richardson tacked on five points.
Megan Brown led the Lady Tigers with 13 points.

Tug Valley 65, LC 43
In their final regular season game of the year, the Lady Panthers clawed Lawrence County 65-43 in a road game Feb. 19.
Haven Deskins led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points for Tug Valley. Bailee Hall netted 15 and hauled in 14 rebounds for a double-double. Katie Hall scored 14 and pulled down 15 boards for a double-double. Kylie DeBoard scored nine, Gracie Hynd seven and Katelyn Richardson chipped in two.
Tug Valley is scheduled to host Calhoun County Feb. 26 in the Region IV tournament at the Tug Valley gym. The Lady Panthers got the No. 2 seed in the region, while Calhoun is No. 7.

Defending state Class A champs Gilmer County has the No. 1 seed in the region.
