INEZ — Love and laughter filled the room at the Martin County Health Care Facility as residents were crowned “Kings and Queens” in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Against a shimmering gold backdrop adorned with a red cupid, residents took their turns on the royal throne, donning sparkling crowns and festive capes for the occasion.

Staff members helped transform the space into a Valentine’s setting fit for royalty, complete with roses, lace and plenty of smiles.

Each honored resident was treated like true royalty for the day, posing with scepters and staffs while fellow residents and caregivers looked on. The event offered a moment of joy, dignity and celebration for those who call the facility home.

Valentine’s Day festivities such as the crowning ceremony are part of the facility’s ongoing efforts to provide engaging activities that promote social connection and brighten residents’ days.

For a few sweet hours, the kings and queens of Martin County reigned over hearts.
