Helen Sue (Johnson) Pennington

Helen Sue (Johnson) Pennington, 39, of Goodman, West Virginia, passed away Feb. 18, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center.

Born March 13, 1986, in Williamson, she was the daughter of the late William Richard Johnson and Erma Jean Blevins of Delbarton.

Helen was a homemaker.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sisters Erma Jean Scott and Tammy Renae Waller.

Along with her mother, survivors include her spouse Eric Pennington of Goodman; son Jacob Johnson of Goodman; daughter Madison Pennington of Goodman; brother Greg (Stephanie) Johnson of Paintsville, Kentucky, sisters Brenda (Timmy) Bowen, Sheila Whitt and Shella Johnson, all of Inez, Kentucky, and Linda Ball of Warfield, Kentucky; companion of eight years Clinton “Chase” Hicks and Rhonda Hicks; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Nolan Church of God with Frank “Baldie” Marcum officiating. Burial followed at the Johnson Cemetery in Falls Branch. Mullins Family Funeral Home of Warfield is honored to serve the family.
