Bonnie Jean Dials Duncan, 74, of Staffordsville, formerly of Martin County, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, surrounded by her family.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.”

Born Nov. 6, 1951, in Lovely, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nora Dials.

Bonnie was a graduate of Warfield High School and the University of Kentucky, where she received her master’s degree. She was a retired vocational rehabilitation counselor.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her love and devotion, as well as her great sense of humor and quick wit.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jenna; great-grandson, Ezra; six brothers, Herbert Dials Jr., Elmer Dials, Eugene Dials, Paul Dials, Leroy Dials and Cecil Dials; and five sisters, Eula Stepp, Rebecca Smith, Pearl Pack, Deborah Lloyd and Katherine Dials.

Survivors include Bonnie’s beloved husband of 45 years, Jonathan Duncan of Staffordsville; her children, Tracy (JR) Ellsworth of Greensboro, Pennsylvania, William Duncan of Staffordsville, Teresa (Anthony) Conley of Staffordsville, Casey (Tiffany) Duncan of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and Bridget (Paul) Duncan of Bluffton, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Morgan, Jon, Chloe, Madison, Casey Jr., Brinley, Braxton and Bella; and one great-grandson, Deacon. She also leaves behind one brother, Ernie (Luann) Dials of Lovely; two sisters, Nora Ray of Tomahawk and Rita Stafford of Inez; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, with Mike Jarrell officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home.
