Fredrick Marcum
1939—2026

Fredrick Marcum, 86, of Kermit, West Virginia, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville.

He was born June 28, 1939, to late Francis Marcum and Fred Marcum.

Fredrick is survived by his wife, Joyce Newsome Marcum of Kermit; two children, Fredrick (Eliza) Marcum and Lynda (Ron) Knox; grandchildren Jason Marcum, Savannah Marcum, Joseph Marcum, Kevin, Jordan, Brittany Knox and Daniel Austin; along with 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, at the Warfield Chapel of the Callaham Funeral Home with Lonnie Smith officiating. Burial followed at the Newsome Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
