INEZ — Martin County High School Cardinals are the Kirk & Crum Law Firm Players of the Week.
The Cardinals captured the 15th Region All “A” championship with a 75-54 win over Pikeville Monday night. They will head to the state tournament for the second year in a row.
Martin County earned its way into the title game with an 81-78 overtime win against Belfry on Friday night when Braxton Keathley sank a shot at the buzzer.
The Red and White moved past Paintsville on Jan. 5 with a 72-63 win in the first round.
Coach Jason “JJ” James picked up his third All “A” regional title.
