Tivis J. Hinkle
1953—2026

Tivis J. Hinkle, 73, of Louisa, passed away Jan. 7, 2026, at his residence.

Born Jan. 3, 1953, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Alex and Opal Bowen Hinkle.

Tivis is survived by his wife, Helen Endicott Hinkle of Louisa; two sons, Tivis Lee (Tabby) and Darrell Ray Hinkle, both of Louisa; and one brother, Donald Hinkle (Brenda Toomey) of Inez. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Zoie, Paislee and Justin, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was a member of the United Baptist faith. 

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at Crum Funeral Home in Inez with Danny Hall officiating. Burial followed at the Hinkle Family Cemetery on Buffalo Horn-Webb Hollow in Louisa. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
