Paul Bernard Conn
1941—2026

Paul Bernard Conn, age 84, of Jennies Creek, West Virginia, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.

Born April 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Ruth Marie Stepp Conn and Willie Conn.

Paul grew up on Jennies Creek and was raised by his grandparents, Sallie Muncy and Berbage Stepp.

Paul was a retired coal miner of Marrowbone Development. He was also a faithful member of Perry Point Church on Jennies Creek, where he found comfort and fellowship throughout his life.

He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Lummie Blackburn Conn; his children, Debbie (Elvis) Rose of Kentucky and Paul B. (Sue) Conn of Ohio; his grandchildren, Aubre Rose of the home, Paul Aaron Conn and Amie Jordan of Kentucky; and great-grandchildren, Westyn Conn and Luka Jordan. He also leaves behind his bonus daughter, Jessica Allen, known as “Trick,” a special nephew, David Rose of the home, and a special friend, Pastor Dave Brewer, along with many others who will cherish his memory.

Pallbearers: Red Browning, Paul Aaron, Earl Blackburn, Robert Blackburn, Claude Blackburn, Brandon Blackburn Jr. Adkins, William Blackburn, Millard Blackburn, Derrick Blackburn and Luke Blackburn.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at the Perry Point Church on Jennies Creek, with David Brewer and Freddie Messer officiating. Burial will follow at the Stepp/Conn Cemetery on Jennie’s Creek. Friends may visit at the church Tuesday, starting at 4 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
