INEZ — Martin County High School Wrestling is the Kirk & Crum Law Firm Players of the Week.

The Cardinals captured the 2026 Agie Skeens Memorial Tournament championship in Grundy, Virginia. The program earned its first team title at the event, led by six individual champions, four runners-up, and multiple podium finishes across the weights.

On Dec. 29-30, the Cardinals stalked the lead close enough to touch the trophy and took runner-up honors in a stacked 38-team field in the Hatfield-McCoy 32 in Pikeville. Coach Josh Muncy’s bunch finished with 268.5 points, just 3.5 behind champion Johnson Central in one of eastern Kentucky’s most unforgiving holiday tournaments.
