Every new year is different, but it seems like things have changed a lot over the years. So I was trying to come up with a topic for a New Year’s Eve column and decided to research predictions for 2026.
Technological experts predict that artificial intelligence will continue to dominate key sectors, leading to job disruptions and ethical dilemmas. AI is expected to significantly influence industries, with some analysts warning of an “AI bubble” as companies heavily invest in AI technologies. It may even take jobs from humans.
I am not sure of how you feel about AI, but it sort of scares me.
Some say that the U. S. government might actually reveal the truth about what it knows about UFOs (now called UAPs) and extraterrestrial contact. One person said that if any president ever decided to come clean on the topic it would be Donald Trump. He does like the limelight and being first on many topics. So I could see this happening in 2026 or before he leaves office.
I am greatly interested in this topic, but I am not holding my breath for disclosure this year.
Some say that rising global conflicts will worsen this year. Predictions indicate an escalation of global conflicts, with tensions between East and West potentially leading to significant geopolitical changes. This theme of conflict is echoed across various forecasts, suggesting that 2026 could be an important year.
Another prediction is about possible Supreme Court decisions for the U.S. Significant Supreme Court decisions are anticipated that could impact the foundations of democracy and governance, potentially reshaping political landscapes, one website stated.
There are predictions and warnings of increased natural disasters, including earthquakes and extreme weather events, affecting a significant portion of the Earth. This prediction aligns with ongoing concerns about climate change and its impacts.
We have heard a lot about climate change over the past years. I am not sure I believe this, and I think it is just natural climate events.
We all worry about the economy and making ends meet. Many live from payday to payday and when prices are high it makes it tough.
Economists predict a mixed economic landscape, with some signs of recovery driven by fiscal stimulus. Let’s pray that things get better.
There could be some public health challenges in 2026. Some are predicting significant challenges to public health, with potential outbreaks of previously controlled diseases. Let’s hope and pray we don’t have another COVID-type situation.
I am sure many predictions can be vague, and many may focus on political turmoil (which we always have) and the possible end to wars (like Russia and Ukraine).
Some people look to astrology to predict their future. Others like to read about physics like Nostradamus.
One thing I can say for sure. Our faith and religious beliefs matter most. Our spirituality is the most important thing we can take care of in the new year or at any time in our lives.
You can wish and hope for wealth. But your health and happiness for yourself and your family are the most significant things you can achieve.
I truly hope and pray for 2026 to be a great year for everyone.
Until next time.
