Lilly Mae Adkins
1961—2025

Lilly Mae Adkins, 64, of Lovely, went home to be with the Lord, Dec. 17, 2025.

Born July 17, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Sheridan and Evelyn Maynard, who preceded her in death.

Lilly worked as a news reporter and editor. She retired from the Big Sandy News in Louisa.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Ronald Lee Adkins; son Ronald Lee (Lindsey) Adkins II; daughter Amy Christina Adkins; six grandchildren, Aubrianna Crum, Gabrielle Crum, William Crum, Ethan Adkins, Gavan Adkins and Dakotah Adkins; brother William (Annie) Maynard; and a host of family and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield, with Bobby Mullins officiating. Friends and family may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at the Riverview Memory Garden in Louisa.
