William Eddy Blake
1956—2025

William Eddy Blake, 69, known to the community as Eddy, passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born Feb. 25, 1956, in Huntington, West Virginia, he was the youngest child of the late Roy Otis and Dorris Gifford Blake.

Eddy was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School in Willow Wood, Ohio. In 1981, he married his wife of 45 years, Terri Blake. They both had dreams of one day being business owners. Eddy had worked for T & D Hardware Store since 1981, and he and Terri eventually became owners of the hardware store in 1988. In 1996, they became owners of T&D Quick Stop in Kermit, West Virginia.

In June 2025, Eddy accepted the Lord as his personal savior and was of the Baptist faith. “Rest easy and rejoice in the Lord from your labor here on earth.”

Eddy is survived by his loving wife, Terri Blake; daughter, Shanna Blake (Arnold) Collins of Warfield; grandson, Brady Newsome (age 14); and granddaughter, Charlee Newsome (age 8). He also leaves behind his elder siblings: Roy (Kathy) Blake, Darrell Blake, Ralph Blake, all of Chesapeake, Ohio, David (Sherry) Blake of Papinaw, Indiana, and Judy Clay of Chesapeake, Ohio. He is also survived by a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at the Mullins Family Funeral Home in Warfield with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial followed at Mount View Memory Gardens in Maher, West Virginia. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
