INEZ — Martin County High School’s Makenna Marcum and Brayden Marcum are the Kirk and Crum Law Firm Players of the Week.
M. Marcum powered the Lady Cards to a pair of wins over Betsy Layne and Harlan.
She earned Player of the Game in the 53-51 win over Harlan in the Lisa Collins Classic.
Makenna filled the stat sheet after pouring in 18 points. She collected five rebounds, delivered five assists and swiped three steals.
She finished with 10 points, three assists and a steal in a 57-49 home victory over the Bobcats.
B. Marcum recorded a double-double and contributed in every facet of the game in two contests this week for the Cards.
He knocked down three triples on his way to 15 points in a 92-72 win over Harlan. He wrestled down 10 boards to hit double-digits in both columns.
In a game against Huntington Prep, Brayden fired in 13 points. He picked five pockets on defense, dished out three assists, and pulled down three boards.
