Jackie Lynn Newman Gauze
1949—2025

Jackie Lynn Newman Gauze, age 76, of Inez, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

Born Oct. 9, 1949, in Kermit, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Newman and Bertha Newman Trout.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Lee Gauze Sr., and eight siblings: Geraldine Wilson, Connie Price, Patsy Ann Newman Gauze, Barbara Ellen Newman Wilson, Donnie Newman, Sonny Newman, Thomas Newman and Jimmy Newman.

Jackie is survived by her son, Aaron Lee Gauze Jr., and his wife, Wendy, of Inez; sister Brenda Jo Newman (Jim) Harper of Garden City, Michigan; sister-in-law Maxine Newman; special niece Cathy Williamson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez with Derek Catron officiating. Burial followed at the Mountain Valley Memory Gardens in Inez under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez.
