Covey Sweeney
1965—2025

Covey Sweeney, age 60, of Beattyville, passed away Nov. 13, 2025, at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson.

Born March 12, 1965, in Martin County, he was the son of the late Benny and Opal (Chaffins) Sweeney.

In addition to his parents, Covey is preceded in death by three brothers, Milton, Marvin and Matthew Sweeney.

He is survived by one son, David Sweeney; two daughters, Leann Opal Lowe and Ava Blevins; and one sister, Becky Sweeney. Covey is also survived by three grandchildren.

There will be no services held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez.
